Hotel in Lebanon: Occupancy Rate
Lebanon Hotels occupancy rate for the Christmas – New Year Period (mostly December) has varied between 90 and 100% across the country and across Lebanon Cities.
This is a quite impressive rate, considering the world media talking about and displaying travel to Lebanon as something to restrain from for the time being. From another perspective, considering the stability of the situation in Lebanon, the occupancy rate of hotels in Lebanon is nothing less than normal, despite the political tensions that exist in the country, like anywhere else in the world, the only difference being that in Lebanon, they are made public, like the smallest details of the personal life of political leaders.
In general, the Lebanon Hotels situation for the past year has been good, and if everything works according to the previsions, a need of 2000 to 3000 additional Hotel Rooms is required in 2011 to respond to increasing accommodation demand in Lebanon.
We are considering the possibility to make available to Lebanon Visitors what can be called as “Hostels Accommodation”, which will offer travelers to Lebanon a much cheaper option than hotels, without disregarding comfort and hotel standards. If you are interested in that option, please reply to this post because this will show us the viability of that option, and we can make it available to our website visitors the soonest.
Travel to Lebanon: Visit Beit Chabeb
If you ever travel to Lebanon, you won’t miss renowned Lebanon Cities, but a word of advice from Lebanon Packages is not to miss Lebanon villages. For that reason, our site will be reviewing some of the must see Lebanese Villages.
Today, we will be talking about Beit Chabeb, a village situated in the northern Metn, 18 to 24 km from Beirut, 630 meters above sea level. This village is renowned for its historic handicraft industries that differentiate it from other villages. Its original name “Beit Chababco” from Syriac means the neighbor’s house. Its inhabitants live there all through the seasons, even though like most Lebanon villages and cities, a lot of emigrating citizens come to their native village during summer and Christmas vacations.
Beit Chabeb is characterized by old traditional houses. Old, famous and grand mansions from the village have been portayed by artists as representing the symbol of Lebanese tradition. It is often said that Beit Chabeb is among the seven most beautiful Lebanon Villages.
Beit Chabeb handicraft industries date to the 18th century and consist of pottery, bell, textile and silk industries and are mentioned in almost every student history book, even though these suffer today from local and international competition, and some if not most are facing extinction, and even though the old houses that were used to host the textile inventory, now lie forsaken.
Fifteen old churches can be found within the village, as well as a monastery, something that is not equaled by any other Lebanese village. Three colleges, two of them private, one technical university, a special handicapped hospital and a sporting club contribute to the development of the village, and make it appear more like a larger town.
Whenever you’re visiting the region, be it on your own or through one of the available Lebanon Tours, do not hesitate to ask to visit Beit Chabeb, as part of your travel to Lebanon.
Travel to Lebanon – Visit Baalbeck
If you ever travel to Lebanon, do not miss one of the most ancient Lebanon Cities with magnificent and impressive Roman Ruins: Visit Baalbeck.
A remarkably peaceful city, called “The City of the Sun”, Baalbeck is best appreciated at Sunrise or Sunset. It conserves one of the finest Roman ruins in the middle-East.
When you go there, be sure to visit the massive temple complex of Jupiter and Bacchus (attached photo is of the Bacchus temple). Watch the Acropolis, one of the largest in the world, and pay attention to the columns and stones used in the construction and that are of gargantuan proportions.
Enjoy the grandeur and elegance of the temples, and the peace and beauty of the natural surroundings. Guided visits are available at the site entry and to enjoy Baalbeck best, be sure to visit it within one of the available organized Lebanon Tours.

Information about Cruises from Lebanon will be published shortly.
