Finding Vacation Lodgings in Connecticut
Finding Vacation Lodgings in Connecticut
Article by Richard Rspad
Connecticut is the wealthiest state in the country based on per capita income. Once you see the vacation lodgings, you will whole heartedly agree.
Finding Vacation Lodgings in Connecticut
Although Connecticut is the southern most New England state, it retains all the stereotypical grander of the area. The area has beautiful high end areas such as the Gold Coast in Fairfield County as well as incredible rolling mountains and horse farms that just have to be seen in fall when the leaves turn. If you are considering vacationing in Connecticut, the lodging selections are equally dazzling.
The Hyatt Regency Greenwich offers all the amenities you would expect from a Hyatt Regency. For pampering, you can choose from a variety of massage techniques designed to address your different aches and pains. On staff estheticians can rejuvenate your facial skin to the point people will think you have had plastic surgery. The estheticians also provide detailed analysis and instruction on care for your particular skin and circumstances so the improvements aren’t lost when you head home. The Hyatt Regency Greenwich is located at 1800 East Putnam Avenue in Old Greenwich. You can make reservations by calling 203-637-1234.
The Spa At Grand Lake is the undisputed dominant spa in Connecticut. Built on 85 stunning acres of wild woodland in the center of the state, the spa is a moment in time of peace and quiet in an otherwise hectic world. The spa offers customized services based entirely on your circumstances and life. If you are stressed out, a custom plan is developed to address the tension. If burnout is the issue, an entirely different plan is developed to get you energized and feeling good again. The spa provides very personalized attention with an excellent staff to guest ratio. It is located at 1667 Exeter Road on route 207 in Lebanon. You can book reservations by calling 800-843-7721.
The Water’s Edge Resort and Spa gets its name for an obvious reason. The facility provides unique marine based treatments ranging from balancing to facials to remineralizing and so on using only products derived from the sea. The facility specializes in the revitalization of sun-damaged skin and is the creator of the wildly successful Emergen C skincare line. Water’s Edge is located at 1525 Boston Post Road in Westbrook. You can call for reservations at 860-399-5901.

Lebanon Packages introduces Nahr Ibrahim Festival
Among the most interesting Lebanon Cities from a tourist point of view, Nahr Ibrahim holds a good place, since it could be a very interesting Lebanon Vacations place, a Lebanon Camping place, or just a place where people and tourists can have nice and refreshing Lebanon Tours.
To launch the region possibilities, and before the end of the summer season, the Ibrahim River Festival kicked off yesterday, designed to draw attention to the beauty and history of one of Lebanon’s most legendary regions.
The festival main objective is to help attract tourists to the more than 60-kilometer stretch which follows the river from its source in Afqa, Mount Lebanon, to its mouth between the coastal towns of Jounieh and Byblos.
A plan to develop the archaeological heritage of the area and making the sites more accessible to visitors was also unveiled at the festival launch by Nahr Ibrahim Mayor.
The tourist development plan includes improving existing hiking and climbing trails and introducing camping facilities, which are designed to revive the area’s flagging economy and encourage more people to return to traditional artisan crafts.
The banks of the river, known in ancient times as Adonis, are loaded with Roman ruins, riverside cafes, and grassy openings perfect for picnics or sightseeing while the location, some 45-minutes from Beirut, makes the site a welcome alternative to the busy, or overly expensive, beaches.
The area was once a popular pagan pilgrimage destination, famed in mythology as the final resting place of Adonis, the mortal lover of the Roman goddess Venus who was killed while hunting and died in her arms. It is said that it is his blood which colors the river red each spring.
Remains of a Roman temple dedicated to the goddess of love and beauty now lie near the village of Yanuh while the remnants of an ancient aqueduct, partially restored by the Directorate General of Antiquities, can also be seen.
If you ever travel to Lebanon, do not forget to include a visit to Nahr Ibrahim as part of your Lebanon Vacations tour.

Information about Cruises from Lebanon will be published shortly.
